***Spoiler Alert!***
If you didn’t finish the coloring book, don’t read any further. Unless you really can’t help yourself. In that case—we can’t help you either.
So, where do we begin?
You were told that you unleashed a curse the moment you opened this coloring book. And that the only way to extinguish it was to finish coloring every page.
First of all, never believe everything you’re told.
Because by finishing the book—especially when you flipped it upside down to read the mirror text—you didn’t end the curse. You awakened it.
So tell us: did you miss the clues? Did you stubbornly ignore them? Or did you catch on and decide to unleash the curse anyway? All you really had to do was stop coloring, and you would’ve won.
Here are the clues. Some were small, some were obvious—but all were there.
Page 1: The Jack-o’-Lantern, iconic at Halloween. Trick-or-treat. In this case, the Jack-o’-Lantern tricked you with a rhyme.
Page 2: Bats circling a full moon. Something is stirring.
Page 3: “You’re doing fine…don’t stop now!” Now, why would a zombie cheer you on? Zombies don’t root for anyone. Unless it was reverse psychology—but we all know zombies are too brain-dead for that.
Page 4: A circle of candles offering protection. Totally normal. Nothing suspicious.
Page 5: Five tombstones, four with names, one blank. If your name was on one of the four—yikes. If not, the blank one should have been your clue.
Page 6: “Things aren’t always what they seem.” That’s about as big a warning sign as you could get. This is where you should have slammed the book shut and walked away.
Pages 7–9: And suddenly, you were starring in your own horror flick. The abandoned house, the footsteps, then standing inside. The candle. The open bedroom door. And two eyes outside, watching.
Pages 10–11: Close-ups of the candle and the bedroom. Nothing obvious—but that’s how setups work.
Page 12: While you were being distracted inside, the forces outside closed in. Remember those eyes?
Page 13: The candle morphs into a face. But hey, nothing to see here—right?
Page 14: One of the dolls moves to the end of the bed, inching closer. Maybe the curse isn’t fading at all. Maybe it’s building.
Page 15: Faceless figures outside, walking toward the house. Nothing creepy about that.
Page 16: The candle continues to change. Maybe you’re unlocking something you really don’t want unlocked.
Page 17: The creepy doll is in your face now. Too close for comfort.
Page 18: The forces outside are getting closer. Creepier. Closing in.
Page 19: A hand reaching out of the page. Something is literally coming out of the book. If you didn’t catch this one…well, you weren’t going to catch any of them.
Page 20: “You Awakened It.” The mirror text revealed the truth: you weren’t extinguishing the curse. You were triggering it.
The good news? There’s no curse. It’s all just a game.
The bad news? You lost. 🙂
